2021 reflections

by admin4blog December 31, 2021 No Comments

Just thinking back to 2021 before we reach 2022. It has been a very varied year that started with another lockdown and working from home continuing. Hannah joined us last year for New Year’s eve and then flew back to Israel just in time before the skys were shut again.

We managed a few weekends away in the UK, and even got to Israel in the summer 2021.

In October we finally got together with both our children, Eli and Amy, and Hannah. Barrie had a pleasant birthday party and celebration for his 60th birthday, not the Japan trip we had planned but a fabulous stay in UK gastronomic Hotel. Raymond Blanc’s le manor aux quad saisons where we enjoyed a fabulous night in a well appointed room, experienced the delights of a 7 course taster meal and took in the beautiful surrounding of the grounds.

I changed jobs and went back to full time for a while, still at DfE but a change of directiion, ironically back to my roots in Analysis and Operational Research from university days. And so here we are on the brink of another NewYear’s eve with no idea what 2022 will bring us, but let’s hope it is a healthy and peaceful New Year for us all. See you on the other side.
