Quito – What we learned

Quito what we learned

  • Spanish – lots of it – Mucho beueno
  • The Spanish for coffee is Cafe
  • The ladies in Quito carry their babies around, no pushchairs have been seen.   This is probably due to the steepness of the hills.
  • ll can be pronounced in one of 3 ways all are correct!
  • There are 2 verbs for “to be” each is used for different things all this has to be learned!
  • The prostitutes in Quito are happy to solicitate couples.
  • Quito is built on many hills to keep us fit and you have to be careful not to trip up.
  • You need to be careful with your possessions and if someone tells you a bird has shit on you and they will help you walk away.
  • Lunch is the biggest meal of the day but you can always get a restaurant meal of the day for under $3 if you ask for the set meal
  • Chocolate is Delicious
  • Taxis are cheap and the best way to get around
