Spanish lessons week
We started our lessons at Instituto Superior de Espanol on Friday as next week there is a day holiday. The holiday is officially on Monday but the school decided to work on Monday and take the holiday on following Friday. We had booked a total of 30 hours lessons – the 2 of us with a private teacher. The school offers all combinations of lessons from classes to individual.
The 1st Friday we did 4 hours of very basis Spanish starting with the alphabet, numbers and some simple vocabulary.
Monday 08/10/18
We did more grammar and lots more vocabulary including adjectives and words for the family. We started with our first verb “To be”, this is, you are etc. The classes are taking our concentration but are fun. Our teacher is Angelica.
Tuesday 09/10/18
After class on Tuesday we went to a free Salsa lesson organised by the Spanish school at Desafio Salsa school The class was 5pm to 6pm. It was great fun and we now have a new skill to add to out list. After the Salsa lesson we went with a few people from the school for a drink and bite to eat. Whilst not sharing classes with other we have met people on trips. It has been great to meet people from all over who are mostly learning Spanish like us before travelling.
Wednesday 10/10/18
Dinner in the evening. I made a nice vegetable risotto. We prefer to eat evening meals at home as we have the facilities and are sure on most of this trip we will be eating out. After dinner we did out last evening of homework.
Thursday 11/10/18
Last day at school, it has been fun. Today at lunch time there was a cooking demonstration of local foods. They made the local potato cakes and served with a few other typical foods, eggs, advacado and sausage for the meat eaters.
In the evening we went on a great night trip which I will write a separate blog about.
